I wanted to share some fun graphic designer facts I came across.

Fun fact #1- The very popular Nike “Swoosh” logo was designed in 1971 and the designer was only paid $35.00 for her work, it was designed by Carolyn Davidson. Nike did however later on gave her stock in the company for her iconic logo.

Fun fact #2- The placeholder text we use in layouts “Lorem Ipsum” is actually scrambled Latin from a work by Cicero dating all the way back to 45 BC. It lacks sense so it does not distract from design itself.

Fun fact #3- The world-famous Coca-Cola logo known for its red and white color scheme was created by the inventors “bookkeeper,” Frank Mason Robinson in 1885 was the bookkeeper for the formula inventor Dr. John Stith Pemberton.
