I am researching color theory for a presentation I need to put together. In this blog, I am going to share on here “what color means.” The psychology behind it.
Red means the following:
Passionate, active, exciting, bold, energy, youthful, physical, pioneering, leader, willpower, confidence, ambition, & powerful.
Pink means:
Love calm, respect, warmth, long-term, feminine, intuitive, caring, assertive, sensitive, nurturing, possibilities, & unconditional.
Purple means:
Deep, creativity, unconventional, original, stimulation, individual, wealth, modesty, compassion, distinguished, respectable, & fantasy.
Navy means:
Trust, loyalty, order, sincerity, authority, communication, confidence, peace, control, integrity, responsible, success, calm, & masculine.
Green means:
Balance, growth, restore, sanctuary, equilibrium, positivity, nature, generous, clarity, prosperity, good judgement, safety and stable.
Blue means:
Spirit, perspective, content, control, rescue, determination, self-sufficient modern, goals, awareness, purpose, openness, and ambition.
Orange means:
Instinct, warmth, gut reaction, optimistic, spontaneity, extrovert social, new ideas, freedom, impulse, & motivation.
It helped to write these down, not just read them. Looking at the meanings of these seven colors, I can see why certain brands use specific colors.
Example: Barbie=pink ( love, calm, feminine, etc.)
BP Gas = green ( restore, safety, balance, etc.)
Coca-Cola = red (power, physical, energy, etc..)
