A new goal I will be pursuing is to organize my desktop better.
Currently, I have a system of creating numerous folders within folders and renaming them. While this method allows me to locate items, it also leads to confusion due to the excessive number of folders and the habit of renaming them. By developing a new, more efficient habit, I can reduce this confusion and enhance my productivity.
I will be trying this for my new habits:
Create folders by category
Use descriptive file names. I name them with a paragraph, hahaha.
Utilize desktop icons sparingly to remain clutter-free
Organize files by date or project
Implement a color coding system ( colored labels or tags visually differentiate between types of files or priority levels)
Regularly clean up and declutter
Customize Desktop background (pick a clean, visually appealing background that helps you stay focused.)
Utilize organizational tools (you can consider third-party software that can help you automatically sort and arrange your files $)
Back up your files, especially your essential files.
Lastly, stay consistent; this will help you and me develop good habits and keep our desktops neat and organized.
