I wanted to share some information that was new to me.
The public library has several Databases, which you can
get for free. Here are the steps you need to know.
First, you need to obtain a library card. You can do
this in person or online. Just a note that if you do sign up
online, you will receive a temporary library card number so
you would have to wait a few days to receive your permit number
I recommend going there in person.
Once you receive your permanent number, visit the library’s website.
The local library website is www.siouxlandlib.org. Scroll down to resources, then choose from several digital sites for free.
It will ask for your library card number and a four-digit PIN you set up while obtaining your card. It will log you in. That is it.
A few examples are BOOKFLIX, which has hundreds of talking books for children.
Fold3 is getting genealogy information focusing on U.S. military records. Libby by Overdrive, where you can check out eBooks, Audiobooks, and eMagizines.
I counted 15 free digit resources available through the public library.
I personally wanted to find out what was available for the Linkedin
Learning and signing up for FREE through the library. It beats paying
a few hundred a year for a very good resource.
