Carsforsale.com graciously opened the doors for Southeast Tech students to see what they do and who they are.
I was impressed with the whole business and their motto: “Our people are the Engine of Our Business,” and the teams drive the business forward.” Especially how the owner says, “God first, family second, and work third.” Love that!
Unfortunately, you do not see many companies that think and operate their businesses this way.
I love how they tackle problems as a team and celebrate their wins as one big happy family.
They try to be involved in community fundraisers or drives at least once a month. But also do year-round collecting to help with different types of support.
I saw an eyeglass drop-off, even a Veterans Support collection, and several more while visiting.
Employees had mentioned that Carsforsale.com has strong leadership teams that lead with vision and passion. They offer to nurture employees’ strengths, which allows them to grow.
I kept hearing how they were willing to train, for example, how to build a website. They look for design talent; they can’t teach you to be a good designer, but they can teach you how to make a great website, etc.
They also look at whether your personality will fit in with the employees/teams they have and a willingness to learn.
Overall, I was excited to participate in this visit and enjoyed the excitement and enthusiasm each person shared.
