In a YouTube video on How to Start a Blog, I watched this young lady making a killing of money Blogging alone.
Here are some of her tips;
Her biggest money maker and one tip is finding a Pinterest strategy that works for you.
Pinterest needs to be your biggest use priority for marketing; it is the only social media website set up specifically for a viewing customer to click directly on a business.
Most people donโt just search for a blog to read, but by looking at Pinterest, the customer clicks directly to the business automatically and reads the posts.
Her number two tip was to use Google SEO- Search engine optimization; she says it is expensive but well worth the investment.
She mentioned that Instagram can be painful to grow on and takes time. On Instagram, you must be present daily; you must post stories and read posts. It will grow, but she said it is slow and โpainful.โ
Start a Blog thinking about your readers, not about yourself. Make sure you word things on how to help the reader.
Sadly, you have to remind yourself that no one cares about you when reading. The readers care about what benefit THEY will receive.
Example: If she titled a blog, My Skin Care Routine, or, instead, with a title like,
12 Insanely Good Skin Care Products You Need to Know About.
They will read the one that will benefit them, the 12 Insanely Good Skin Care Products You Need to Know About.
She recommends visiting Buz feed or other large sites and studying some of their post titles. There is a reason they title their posts with what they use because they work. You want them to be interesting enough and not too far-fetched to attract readers.
Another tip is that readers love numbers, so add numbers to titles.
Invest in courses to educate yourself on what you are speaking about by taking a course with a well-educated instructor on a specific topic you want to blog about. Know your stuff before you post about it.
If you are advertising for money, the readers will know, so become invested with knowledge about the blog you are posting.
Another topic was how she makes money from her blogs; her answer was 50 advertising/50 affiliate marketing.
Donโt ever put all your eggs into one basket, was advice from her and myself.
Watch and know your ROIโs (Return on investments) if you are working on a specific area and putting in lots of time and it is not producing income, but another site is. Put more time into where you see advancement.
