Yesterday, we had no school because, on the third Monday of every February, this day honors the nation’s presidents, past and present. Presidents’ Day is an annual holiday in the United States. I personally took the day to do homework and catch up on home chores. Presidents Day serves as a reminder of the leadership in shaping the country’s history. It is a time to reflect on the impact of who held the highest office. Needless to say, I appreciated the day to “catch up” in life. It surprises me with one extra day attached to the weekend and how refreshing it is. So, thank you President’s Day for Monday and a bonus of Tuesday off this week.
