As a class, we are fine-tuning our portfolio show layouts, including invitations, envelopes, posters for school departments and industries, and the large window cling.
I was asked to help the other students by showing them how I quickly cut the posters so that the printed curved paper was down and flat and how to mark it for exact cutting on the backside only because it lays flat. This allows you to get a more accurate cut in the position you need to cut.
My method may not be the best, but it is the best for me. It is how I like to do things, and I am always open to others’ ideas. Everyone I have shown this method to comments that it makes sense and is accurate.
Today, we printed the invites four on a page and used a different method to cut them. I showed students the method that works best for me. The point is that each item possibly needs a “method that works” best for you. They turned out great, and I am excited to send them out.
